The key characteristics of the ECHESA GE2000PL gearbox are its robustness, superb reliability and suitability for all kinds of wind conditions, from the most challenging to medium and low wind speed sites. Thanks to this performance, this platform’s installed capacity stands at over 10 000 MW worldwide.

The main features of the ECHESA GE2000PL gearbox are:

  • modular 3-stage architecture with torque arms to the main frame
  • spur and helical gearing1 made from high grade alloy steels
  • structural castings made from high quality spheroidal graphite iron
  • lubrication by splash and electrical and mechanical pump injection

The ECHESA GE2000PL gearbox, fitted nowadays to Gamesa’s G80 Class IA, G87 Classes IA/IIA, G90 Classes IA/IIA/IIIA and G114 Class IIIA wind turbines, is the most versatile in the market: different ratio options enable its deployment for even the most complex sites.
