Gamesa Gearbox, a reference in remanufacturing for Europe and Africa

Gamesa Gearbox will take part in EuAReman 2026, the first international event to bring together companies, researchers and experts to analyse the strategic role of remanufacturing in the transition towards a more sustainable and competitive industry in both Europe and Africa.

Our colleague Óscar López, Head of HSE, will share our experience in the repair, remanufacturing and re-engineering of wind turbine gearboxes – an activity we carry out at our plants in Mungia and Sigüeiro – which enables us to extend the service life of critical components, optimise the use of resources and significantly reduce the environmental impact associated with the manufacture of new equipment.

Gamesa Gearbox’s participation in the event stems from a network of industrial knowledge originating with Ihobe, the Basque Environment Agency, which has selected us as a key benchmark in the industrialisation of product recovery. Thanks to our solid track record in remanufacturing and our ongoing commitment to technical excellence, we continue to establish ourselves as a leader in extending the life cycle of wind turbine equipment.
